Tyler
Fay (Barrington, R.I.), the Saint Anselm golf team
sits in second place out of nine teams after day one of the 2010
Bowdoin Invitational at Brunswick Golf Club. The Hawks trail
tournament-leading Husson College by one shot entering the second
round.
Following Fay is sophomore Brian Foley
(Worcester, Mass.) with a 78, along with a 78 from
freshman Joe Fitzsimmons (Marshfield, Mass.).
Sophomore Emilio Bardini
(Salem, Mass.) and freshman Nick Maccario
(Bradford, Mass.) closed out the scoring with a pair of
83's as the Hawks ended the day with 314. Husson leads with 313,
while Williams is right behind Saint Anselm at 315.
In the women's competition, three Saint Anselm players took
part. Sophomore Meghan Brennan (West Hartford,
Conn.) led the trio with a 97, followed by senior
Rebecca Damon (Rockland, Mass.) and freshman
Andrea O'Neil (Saugus, Mass.) with a 103.
Round two action begins at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
