Hawks Finish in 18th at NCAA Cross Country Regional

Boston, Mass. (November 21) -- The Saint Anselm men's cross country team finished in 18th place out of 26 teams on Sunday afternoon at the NCAA Regional at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. UMass Lowell claimed the overall team title with 41 points over the 10-kilometer race course.

Leading the way for Saint Anselm was junior co-captain John Surabian (Saugus, Mass.), who finished in 82nd place in a time of 33:40, running a 5:35 pace. Senior Drew Matthews (Madison, Conn.) was just five seconds back in 85th place, followed by junior co-captain Christopher Powers (Haverhill, Mass.) in 92nd place with a time of 35:08.
