Hawks Drop 6-0 Final to No. 4 River Hawks

Lowell, Mass. (September 24) -- On Wednesday night under the lights, the Saint Anselm field hockey team dropped a 6-0 final to No. 4 ranked UMass Lowell in Northeast-10 Conference play.

The River Hawks scored three goals in each half, led by a hat trick from Sammy Macy. Missy Seeley also chipped in with a pair of assists as the River Hawks owned a 22-6 advantage in shots.

Riley Haddock (Falmouth, Maine) made eight saves in the loss. Amy Carbon and Danielle Dodier combined for five saves in the shutout win for UMass Lowell.

With the loss, Saint Anselm drops to 3-5 overall and in league play, while the River Hawks are 8-2 overall and a perfect 8-0 in the Northeast-10. Saint Anselm returns to action on Saturday afternoon as the Hawks host Stonehill for a Noon start in Manchester.
