Hawks Fall to No. 1 C.W. Post, 21-4

Brookville, N.Y. (April 13) -- The women's lacrosse team fell to top-ranked C.W. Post, 21-4, as both teams stepped out of conference action on Sunday afternoon. The loss drops the Hawks to 4-7, while the win keeps C.W. Post undefeated at 11-0.

After C.W. Post posted two goals early, Tiea Kurlowecz (Concord, Mass.) found the back of the net to cut the lead in half at 2-1. C.W. Post went on to score 15 straight unanswered goals though to take a 17-1 lead. Another goal from Kurlowecz put the Hawks down 17-2. Down 21-2, the Hawks posted two goals late in the game. Jennifer Carew (Concord, N.H.) posted a free position goal and Erica Costanzo (Barnstead, N.H.) posted a late goal to account for the 21-4 final.

The Hawks are back in action on Wednesday, hosting Saint Michael's at 4 p.m. at Melucci Field.
