Hawks Fall to Stonehill on Senior Day, 2-0

Manchester, N.H. (October 24) -- On Senior Day on Friday afternoon, the Saint Anselm field hockey team fell to No. 10 ranked Stonehill by a 2-0 final in Northeast-10 play.

Senior Laura Nimon scored at the 7:30 mark to put the Skyhawks in front by a 1-0 margin. Kerri Sullivan added an unassisted score at 31:26 to account for the 2-0 final.

Junior Riley Haddock (Falmouth, Maine) made two saves in the defeat, while Sarah Piper made one stop for the win.

With the loss, Saint Anselm completes the season at 6-12 overall and in league play. Stonehill ends the regular season at 12-7 overall and 12-6 in the league and advances to the Northeast-10 Tournament.
