Carr Activities Center

Formally dedicated on May 3, 1981, the John Maurus Carr '34 Activities Center is named in honor of a benefactor and member of the college's board of trustees for many years and a former president of the alumni association. The facility features 19,200 square foot of playing surface on its upper level which accommodates major College events, social functions and game practices.

The courts feature three regulation-sized basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts and the building also features a racquetball court, a 9,000 square foot fitness center available for use by the Saint Anselm community, a varsity weight room for use by the college's varsity athletic programs, and the College's athletics administrative offices. Recent additions to the building include a Student-Athlete Success Center, new coaches offices and a state-of-the-art team film room. The widely-used Carr Center allows for a number of different activities at once, whether they are organized club sports, volunteer programs, clinics, or a simple pickup basketball game.

Recent upgrades to the Carr Center include brand-new LED lighting fixtures, permanent signage for team rosters and headshots, and improvements to the varsity weight room.

The building was designed by the Manchester, N.H.-based architectural firm, Isaak and Isaak, and constructed by the Davison Construction Company, also of Manchester.
