Matt Tiberii was hired as the Head Coach for the women's tennis program at Saint Anselm in August 2019.
Tiberii comes to the Hilltop from Suffolk University where he guided the Rams women's tennis program for the previous two seasons. He also served as the Associate Head Coach for the men's tennis team at Suffolk.
Appointed as the interim Head Coach for the Rams men's and women's tennis programs prior to the 2017-18 campaign, Tiberii's charges made back-to-back appearances in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) postseason and recorded 13 victories across those two campaigns.
With the men's program, Tiberii mentored the 2018 GNAC Rookie of the Year and his team was cited by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) with two student-athletes earning Scholar-Athlete distinction.
Tiberii has more than 20 years of tennis teaching experience, working as a Tennis Professional for the Parks and Recreation Department in North Reading, Mass. He served as the Director of Tennis at the Resorts North Country Club from 2013 through 2018 and was the boys tennis coach at Austin Preparatory School in 2016 and 2017.
He currently serves as the Head Coach of girls tennis at North Reading High School, guiding the Hornets to a 25-14 (.641) record and two Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) State Tournament appearances through the 2019 season.
Tiberii is also an active tennis professional at the Woburn Racquet Club and the Marcus Lewis Tennis Center. A native of North Reading, Tiberii is a graduate of fellow Northeast-10 Conference member American International College and continued his education at Salem State University.
He resides in North Reading with his wife, Ann, son Kellen (8) and daughter Grace (5).
