Women’s Tennis Handed 7-2 Senior Day Loss by Bentley

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Sophomore Kate Martin (Hudson, N.H.) and freshman Julie Rohnstock (Scituate, Mass.) each won their singles matches, but the Saint Anselm College women's tennis team suffered a 7-2 loss against Bentley University on Thursday afternoon at the Saint Anselm Outdoor Tennis Courts on Senior Day. The match was forced to move inside to the Carr Center Tennis Courts following doubles play due to rain.

The Hawks wrap up their home slate and drop to 3-8 on the season and in the conference, while the Falcons improve to 9-7, 8-3 NE-10.

Martin took down Melanie Scott in No. 4 singles action, 6-2, 1-6, 10-8, while Rohnstock defeated Brittani Hetyei, 9-8, in No. 5 singles.

Seniors Alexandra Lawrence (N. Scituate, R.I.) and Rachel Pedro (Weymouth, Mass.) were honored in a ceremony prior to the match.
