Women's Tennis Absorbs 7-2 Defeat Against New Haven

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior Alexandra Lawrence (N. Scituate, R.I.) and freshman Julie Rohnstock (Scituate, Mass.) each won their singles matches, but the Saint Anselm College women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision against the University of New Haven on Sunday afternoon at the Saint Anselm Outdoor Tennis Courts.

The Hawks drop to 2-7 on the season and in Northeast-10 play, while the Chargers improve to 7-5, 7-4 NE-10.

Lawrence fought back for a 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 win in No. 1 singles against Lindsey Conley, while Rohnstock downed Christina Santos, 6-2, 6-3, in No. 6 singles.

The Hawks return to action Tuesday, April 9 at 4 p.m. when they take on Franklin Pierce University. The next home match for the Hawks is Thursday, April 11 at 3:30 p.m. when they play host to Bentley University on Senior Day.
