Women's Tennis Opens Season with 6-3 Loss Against Le Moyne

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior Alexandra Lawrence (N. Scituate, Mass.) and Julie Rohnstock each captured a singles victory, but the Saint Anselm College women's tennis team opened its season with a 6-3 loss against Le Moyne College on Saturday afternoon at the Saint Anselm Outdoor Tennis Courts.

The Hawks begin their season 0-1, 0-1 Northeast-10, while the Dolphins start out at 1-0, 1-0 NE-10.

Lawrence earned a No. 1 singles victory against Rebecca Black, 3-6, 6-3, 6-0, while Rohnstock downed Jessica Geary in No. 6 singles, 7-6, 7-1.

Kathryn Rindo and sophomore Kate Martin (Hudson, N.H.) posted a No. 2 doubles victory, 8-5.

The Hawks return to action Sunday, Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. when they play host to Stonehill College at the Outdoor Tennis Courts.
