Men’s cross country competes at NEICAAA Championship

BOSTON – The Saint Anselm College men's cross country team competed at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Boston's Franklin Park.


Saint Anselm placed 24th with a team score of 740.

Junior Jordan Cook (Biddeford, Maine) led the Hawks with a time of 27:25, placing 129th in the field of 170. He was followed by senior Anthony Galasso (Reading, Mass.) and junior Ben Sweesy (Merrimack, N.H.) with times of 27:50 and 28:12, respectively.

Freshman Tom Nelson (Gorham, Maine) registered a time of 28:36 and sophomore Cole Corcoran (Braintree, Mass.) posted a 28:54. Freshman Liam Reeve (Kittery, Maine) and sophomore Patrick Hodgson (Falmouth, Maine) rounded out the Hawks representation with times of 29:24 and 30:43.

Three Hawks also competed in the sub-varsity race, including junior Trent Briggs (Westford, Mass.), junior Hugh Cameron (Weston, Mass.), and junior Adam Scott (Groton, Mass.).

The Hawks will compete at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship on Sunday, Oct. 27 at Lafayette, N.Y.
