    Cape Cod, Mass. (January 14) -- Saint Anselm sophomore linebacker Shane O’Donnell (Dracut, Mass.) has been named an ECAC Division II All-Star. A 2010 team captain, O’Donnell was also a Northeast-10 Second Team All-Conference selection.
  • Colantonio Shines at All-American Bowl in Minnesota

    Minneapolis, Minn. -- Senior cornerback Mark Colantonio (Londonderry, N.H.) took part in the 2010 All-American Bowl, held last week at the University of Minnesota. The game was originally scheduled to take place in the Metrodome, but was relocated due to the collapse of the dome last week.

    Manchester, N.H. -- On Saturday, December 4th, 12 members of the Saint Anselm College Football Team volunteered their time as part of “Lunch With Santa” at the Parker Varney Elementary School. Saint Anselm athletes take part in community service and volunteer work throughout the year.
  • Seven Hawks Earn NE-10 All-Conference Honors

    Easton, Mass. -- Seven members of the Saint Anselm football team have been honored by the Northeast-10 on the league’s All-Conference and All-Rookie teams. Sophomore Shane O’Donnell and junior Marc Wilson were both named to the Second Team, while five Hawks earned All-Rookie recognition.

    New Haven, Conn. (November 13) -- In the 2010 season finale, the Saint Anselm football team dropped a 52-21 final to Southern Connecticut on Saturday afternoon at Jess Dow Field. The Owls jumped out to a 21-0 lead after one quarter of play, en route to the 31-point victory.

    Easton, Mass. (November 8) -- Saint Anselm freshman quarterback Tyrae Woodson-Samuels (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) has been named as the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week for his play in a win over nationally-ranked New Haven. This is his second NE-10 weekly honor in 2010.

    West Haven, Conn. (November 6) -- Saint Anselm scored a pair of quick third-quarter touchdowns to jump out to a 21-10 lead and held off first-place New Haven for a thrilling 35-26 upset win at DellaCamera Stadium. The loss ends New Haven’s chances at the outright Northeast-10 title.

    Easton, Mass. (November 1) -- Saint Anselm freshman wide receiver Justin Bernard (Cambridge, Mass.) has been named as the Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week for his play in a loss to Stonehill last Saturday. He is the third Hawk to earn the award in 2010.

    Manchester, N.H. (October 30) -- In the fifth annual Battle For The Ol’ Bronze Hawk, Saint Anselm dropped a 41-27 final to visiting Stonehill College on Saturday afternoon at Grappone Stadium. The Skyhawks now own a 7-5 lead in the all-time series over Saint Anselm.

    Easton, Mass. -- Saint Anselm freshman running back Keith Charles (Laurel, Md.) has been named as the Northeast-10 Conference Football Rookie of the Week for his three-touchdown performance in a 45-40 loss at Assumption last weekend. This is the first weekly honor for Charles.

The win is the second straight in the series by the Warriors.

    Saint Anselm sophomore quarterback Michael Pierce has been named as the D2Football.com National Offensive Player of the Week, the first Saint Anselm player to earn the award. Pierce also won his third career Gold Helmet Award on Wednesday, presented by the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston.
