MANCHESTER, N.H. – The nationally-ranked Saint Anselm College field hockey team was selected to participate in the 2024 NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship, earning the seventh seed in the field of eight and an NCAA First Round game.

The Hawks will travel to second seeded Assumption University on Saturday November 16^th with a 7:00PM slotted start time. This marks the third year in a row the Hawks have been selected into the NCAA tournament and the third year in a row they face Assumption in the first round. Last season Saint Anselm gracefully bowed out of the NCAA tournament, falling to No. 6 seeded Assumption by a 2-1 final score.

Saint Anselm most recently made it into the 2024 Northest-10 Conference Championship game against the Greyhounds of Assumption University, falling by a 3-0 final. The first conference championship rematch since 2011. The Hawks are making their seventh NCAA postseason appearance, three of which have come against the conference opponent Greyhounds.

Ranked No. 8 in NCAA Division II by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), the Hawks have climbed up from their No. 10 ranking in the weeks prior to.  

Saint Anselm is in search of its first NCAA Division II national championship across all sports.
