QUECHEE, Vt. – Freshman Stephen Hunt (Wilbraham, Mass.) carded a team-low 160 while pacing the Saint Anselm College golf squad to a 10th place finish at the two-day Division II Challenge at Quechee Highlands Golf Club Friday and Saturday.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Hunt opened Friday's Round 1 with a score of 77, placing seventh among individuals in the field. His 11-over-par 83 on Saturday dropped him to 18th overall in the final standings.
• Freshman Billy Argus (Canton, Mass.) posted consecutive rounds of 82 to finish in 27th place overall with a 164.
• Junior Jack Ball (Duxbury, Mass.) shaved four strokes off his Friday total to enter the clubhouse with an 86 Saturday, finishing in 47th place.
• Junior Joe Czarnota (Reading, Mass.) and freshman Nick Markham (Lynn, Mass.) posted cards of 187 and 193, respectively, as both made their season debuts over the weekend.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
• Le Moyne College took the team title with a two-day tally of 616, holding off Southern New Hampshire University by two strokes. Bentley University, Dowling College and a tie between Assumption College and the College of Saint Rose rounded out the top five.
• Saint Anselm finished 18 strokes behind ninth-place Nyack and 16 better than Adelphi University.
NOTES
• Championship tees at the Quechee Highlands Course measured 6840 yards with a par of 72.

• Saint Anselm will make its final preparations before heading to the Northeast-10 Conference Championship tournament, hosted this year by Le Moyne College. The two-day event, scheduled for this upcoming Saturday, Oct. 3 and Sunday, October 4, will be played at En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott, N.Y.
