MANCHESTER, N.H. – Saint Anselm College Senior Associate Director of Athletics for External Operations, Tyler Fleming, in conjunction with ESPN New Hampshire, has announced a partnership between the athletic department and the radio station for a second season during the upcoming 2013-14 campaign.
“We are extremely happy to be working with ESPN New Hampshire for a second year,” Fleming said. “On top of what was a successful partnership last season, we have a couple of additional initiatives to mix in that will continue to bring Saint Anselm College and our growing athletic programs into the Greater Manchester and southern New Hampshire communities, while hopefully creating some additional excitement on campus.”
As part of the agreement, ESPN New Hampshire will feature the Saint Anselm Coaches Show, hosted by Nick Anastos, every Tuesday. The show will expand to an hour slot from last year’s 30-minute segment and will now take place live from noon-1 p.m. at Davison Hall, the main Saint Anselm dining hall on campus, before airing later in the day from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The show, which kicks off Sept. 3, will highlight what is happening in the world of Saint Anselm athletics, as Anastos will chat with both a head coach and student-athlete, with encouraged participation from the students, faculty and staff in attendance.
“ESPN New Hampshire is proud to continue our focus on local sports in the Merrimack Valley with the announcement of the Saint Anselm Coaches Show for a second straight year,” ESPN New Hampshire General Manager, Matt Perrault, said. “This is another example of our unmatched commitment to local sports programming in New Hampshire. We look forward to another great year talking about Saint Anselm athletics on our airwaves.”
A new page will be created on SaintAnselmHawks.com that will be dedicated to Saint Anselm programming on ESPN New Hampshire, including a schedule with upcoming guests and archives of past shows.
Anastos, a Bedford, N.H., native, has served as the color analyst for the Hawks’ Pack Network broadcasts of football, men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s ice hockey since 2010.
