Women’s cross country places 14th at DII/III XC Challenge

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Senior Shannon Conley of the Saint Anselm College women's cross country team finished 13th in a crowded field at the Division II/Division III Cross Country Challenge on Saturday.

Saint Anselm finished 14th out of 18 teams, recording 433 points in the 6K race hosted by Kutztown University. The Hawks will head to the Pop Crowell Invitational next Saturday, Sept. 23, hosted by Gordon College in Wenham, Mass.

Conley's time of 23:49.2 placed her within the top-15 finishers at the race while classmate Sarah Panteleos turned in a time of 25:45.7. Liberty Gendron (26:20.2) and Anna Barrell (28:30.5) were the third and fourth Saint Anselm finishers while freshman Gabrielle Dionne (28:37.9) rounded out the scorers for the Hawks.

Senior Kelsie Nern and freshman Emily Ryan rounded out the field for Saint Anselm, completing the course in 29:40.3 and 29:57.4, respectively.
