Women’s Cross Country Fifth at James Earley Invitational
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Junior Allyn Doyle (Merrimack, N.H.) and freshman Courtney Bennett (Barnstead, N.H.) placed 11th and 19th overall, respectively, as the Saint Anselm College women's cross country team finished fifth at the 38-team James Earley Invitational, at Stanley Park on Saturday morning.
The Hawks finished with 154 points, while the U.S. Coast Guard Academy won the meet with 68 points.
Doyle finished in a time of 19 minutes, 19.05 seconds, while Bennett crossed the finish line at 19:37.73.
Sophomore Stephanie Kearsley (Manchester, N.H.) and freshman Frankie Mueller (Northborough, Mass.) placed 34th and 39th, respectively, in times of 20:07.66 and 20:11.06.
Senior Bianca Ciuffredo (Worcester, Mass.) and freshman Michaela Jancsy (Swampscott, Mass.) finished 53rd and 59th, respectively, in times of 20:27.85 and 20:37.77.
Sophomore Joanna Marczyk (Stratford, Conn.) rounded out the Saint Anselm scorers as she placed 64th in the 354-runner field in a time of 20:42.82.
The Hawks return to action Saturday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. at the Connecticut College Invitational.
