NEWARK, Del. – Saint Anselm College junior outfielder Amanda Bickford was named to the Division 2 Conference Commissioner Association (D2CCA) All-East Region Second Team on Monday, in a vote conducted by the region's Sports Information Directors.
Bickford's honors get added to a lengthy list of postseason recognition this year after being named to the NFCA First Team All-East Region last week after earning First Team All-Northeast-10 Conference honors two weeks ago. Bickford becomes the first Saint Anselm player to be named to the All-East Region Second Team since Tayla Trask '15 in 2014.
In 33 games for the Hawks this season, Bickford hit .395 (47-for-119) with five doubles, 10 RBI, 14 runs scored and a .411 on-base percentage. She ranks fourth in the NE10 in batting average, tied for 10th in hits and 16th in on-base percentage. Bickford hit safely in 28-of-33 games, including 14 multi-hit performances.
For her career, Bickford boasts a .380 batting average over 108 games with 149 hits, 53 runs, 14 doubles and an on-base percentage of .426. She has raised her batting average in each of her three seasons from .362 as a freshman to .386 as a sophomore to .395 as a junior.
Bickford helped Saint Anselm to its fourth appearance in the NE10 Championship in the last five seasons earlier this month. The Hawks finished the season 18-16 overall and 16-8 in the NE10, which marked the team's most conference wins since 2014.
