MANSFIELD, Mass. – Senior Pattie Turner and sophomore Amanda Bickford of the Saint Anselm College softball team were each honored with Northeast-10 Conference honors, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Turner was a second team selection for the second consecutive season. Bickford was a third team choice for the second season in a row after also receiving All-Northeast-10 Rookie Team honors a year ago.
Turner led Saint Anselm and ranked in a tie for second in the NE-10 with nine home runs in her senior season. She paced the Hawks with 25 runs batted in, which ranked in the conference's top 15, while hitting .339. Turner hit a home run in four consecutive games in late March and also homered three times in her final six collegiate games, including a walk-off home run on Senior Day against Bentley.
Bickford's .386 batting average paced Saint Anselm and was the 11th-highest mark in the NE-10. The sophomore had at least one hit in 29 of 38 games and reached base safely in 37 of the team's 38 contests. Bickford had 17 multi-hit games from the leadoff spot, including five three-hit performances. She also led the Hawks in hits (51) and on-base percentage (.421).
Saint Anselm finished the season with a 12-26 record, including an 8-17 mark in conference play.
