Golf completes first round at Saint Rose Shootout

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. – The Saint Anselm College golf team exited the first day of competition at the Saint Rose Shootout in eighth place out of 10 teams. The Hawks carded a collective 319 (+35) and will wrap up competition in upstate New York on Saturday, Oct. 7.

DAY ONE RESULTS

Junior Stephen Hunt turned in a first round score of 73, two-over par, to tie for third place. Senior Tad Link had a strong match for the Hawks, shooting a five-over 76 to tie for 15th place.

Joe Brunelle and Jack Dowding posted scores of 84 and 86, respectively, in their first appearances of the year for Saint Anselm. Austin Coyne also made his season debut for the Hawks, shooting an 89.
