Golf splits with Capital in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Saint Anselm College golf split a pair of head-to-head matchups with Capital University this past weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

On Friday, the Hawks defeated the Crusaders 331-339 at the Barefoot Landing Resort. Capital rebounded on Saturday to hand the Hawks a 322-340 setback at the Grande Dunes.

Stephen Hunt fired an 81 to lead the Hawks to Friday's win over the Crusaders. Nick Carter was one stroke behind with an 82, while Billy Argus recorded an 83. Austin Coyne shot an 85 on the day, with Collin Grady rounding out the scores on the day with a 92.

Saturday afternoon, Hunt led the Hawks again by posting another round of 81, with Billy Argus firing an 84. Austin Coyne posted an 87 in the round, while Collin Grady registered an 88 and Nick Carter shooting a 95.

Saint Anselm is back in action on March 25-26 when they travel to Towson University for their Spring Invitational at the Prospect Bay Golf Club in Grasonville, Md.
