Field Hockey takes on LIU Post in NCAA Semifinal on Friday

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The No. 5 ranked Saint Anselm College field hockey team will take on No. 4 LIU Post in the NCAA Championship Semifinals on Friday, Nov. 18 at 5 p.m. at W.B. Mason Stadium on the campus of Stonehill College in Easton, Mass.

STUDENT FAN BUS
The Saint Anselm College athletics department will be sponsoring a student fan bus to make the trip to Friday's game at W.B. Mason Stadium on the campus of Stonehill College in Easton, Mass. Cost of the bus is $5 and includes your seat on the bus, pizza and a ticket to the game (valid Saint Anselm student ID card required to RSVP for the bus).

All seats are first come-first served, so make sure to come to the athletics department offices to sign up and secure your spot today! The athletics offices are located on the bottom floor of the Carr Center. PRE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO GET ON THE BUS! Cash and credit card purchases are acceptable.

The bus will load in the East Parking Lot, across from the Carr Center on Friday at 1:45 p.m. and depart at 2 p.m. SHARP.

The bus will depart from Stonehill immediately following the conclusion of the game and return to campus at approximately 10 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased online at ncaa.com/ticketsstonehillskyhawks.com/tickets or the W.B. Mason Stadium Gates will open 90-minutes before the first game each day.

HOW THEY GOT HERE
After finishing as the runner-up to LIU Post in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, the Hawks picked up their first NCAA Tournament win with a victory over Stonehill on Saturday afternoon. After falling behind 1-0 in the first half, Emma Kincaid, Leika Scott and Michelle Lemelin each scored in the second half to lead the Hawks to the National Semifinals.

LIU Post earned a bye directly into the National Semifinals after winning the NE-10 Championship and finishing as the top-ranked team in the East Region. The Pioneers enters the Tournament having won seven-straight games and the team is only one year removed from an appearance in the NCAA National Championship game in 2014.

HAWKS VS. PIONEERS SERIES
Friday will mark only the eighth meeting between the two programs with LIU Post holding a slight 5-2 edge in the series. The Pioneers have won the previous two matchups this season, both by matching scores of 2-1 in overtime.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
Saint Anselm has one of the most balanced attacks in the league as 18 players have registered a point this season, with six different players posting 12+ points on the year. The Hawks currently rank 10th in the nation in goals per game (2.29), while their 6.24 points per game rank ninth in the nation. Defensively, the Hawks rank fifth in save percentage (.825), with the team's 1.03 goals-against average ranking seventh in the country.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
LIU Post, who spent several weeks at the top of the NFHCA Coaches Poll, currently rank fifth in the nation in goals per game (2.56) while also ranking fifth in goals-against average (0.93). Emily Miller's 2.39 points per game rank fourth in the country, while the Pioneers as a team rank fifth in the country in that category (6.83).
