For the 2009 Fall semester, ninety-three Saint Anselm student-athletes, representing nearly every Saint Anselm intercollegiate team. Overall, nearly 25 percent of all Saint Anselm student-athletes were members of the Dean's List. Out of all 20 intercollegiate teams, the field hockey team had the most members of the Dean's List with 11. Of the 93 student-athletes, 41 had a GPA of 3.4 or higher. Erika Sartor (Andover, Mass.) is the lone two-sport student-athlete on the Dean's List, playing both women's soccer and women's tennis.

"I am extremely pleased at the stellar academic performance by the majority of our student-athletes for the Fall 2009 academic term," said Dr. Jo-Ann Nester, Director of Athletics. "It demonstrates the commitment on the part of our student-athletes to their academic responsibilities and reinforces how seriously our student-athletes take their academic work. Our coaching staff is committed to recruiting talented student-athletes and maintaining that commitment after our student-athletes become part of their programs."

In addition, the Department of Athletics will be submitting nominations to the Northeast-10 Conference, which will be announcing its All-Academic Teams, Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award winners and the Commissioners Honor Roll.
