Amy Esborn begins her third season as an assistant athletic trainer in 2012-13. At Saint Anselm, she works with a variety of the 20 intercollegiate teams throughout the year. Esborn assists in the daily operations of the athletic training room, including the prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Originally from Branford, Conn., Esborn went on to graduate from Endicott College in Beverly, Mass., with a degree in Athletic Training. Esborn came to Saint Anselm from Springfield (Mass.) College, where she worked as a graduate assistant/teaching fellow from 2008-10 and earned a Master's degree in Athletic Training Rehabilitation. At Springfield, she was directly responsible for men's and women's volleyball, women's soccer and baseball, as well as daily operation of the athletic training room. She worked with the varsity and JV teams at Springfield while working as an Approved Clinical Instructor to undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Athletic Training.
Esborn spends her summers working various camps throughout New England including U.S. Soccer National Coaching Schools and AAU tournaments, which showcase some of the top recruits in the country.
Esborn is Certified Athletic Trainer and a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is also an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider and a BLS CPR Instructor.
Esborn currently resides in Manchester, N.H.
